Chard, Swiss - Organic - 1 bunch
Swiss Chard is a nutritional powerhouse. It is an excellent source of vitamins K, A, and C, as well as magnesium, iron, potassium, and dietary fiber. The large, firm leaves have a mild, sweet, earthy, slightly bitter taste. the stalks taste something between flat celery and sweet beets.
Use: add chopped fresh Swiss Chard to other salad greens; toss in stir-fries, soups, or omelets; saute in a little olive oil and garlic; use leaves like a tortilla wrap.
Storage: store it in a cold and moist place, wrap it in a perforated plastic bag, and store it in the fridge in the vegetable crisper section. It can keep in the fridge for up to 10 days.
